INSIDE A WORKING DAY · ILLUSTRATIVE CASE STUDY

Room for the whole appointment.

A stylist has both hands occupied halfway through an appointment. The incoming caller wants a cut and blow-dry, a price and a time later in the week. Each question is familiar, but answering the phone still interrupts the client in the chair.

FROM HELLO TO HANDOVER
01

Start with the service

Tell establishes which appointment the caller wants. The selected service supplies the duration used for the availability check. An unclear or unlisted treatment needs clarification rather than a guessed length.

02

Make room for the entire visit

For a 60-minute appointment at 12:30, the whole period through 13:30 must fit. An existing booking from 12:00 to 14:00 blocks that request even though nothing starts at exactly 12:30.

03

Keep special requests visible

Once a booking is saved, the team can review its details in the workspace. Requests that need a stylist’s advice become messages or handovers, so a consultation is not mistaken for a confirmed treatment.

Can it book a particular stylist?

Named-stylist allocation is not part of the current booking model. Tell can take the request or transfer the caller so your team can confirm the right appointment.

Where do prices and durations come from?

You maintain them in the service catalogue. Tell should use those saved details rather than make up a price or appointment length.

What about patch tests or a consultation first?

Add the salon’s approved requirements to its knowledge and service information. A request that needs professional judgement should go to the team before a treatment is promised.

Can it use our existing salon software?

A connection to another salon system is not included by default. Discuss the diary and any integration requirements during setup.
